About Cindy

Cindy is passionate about mental wellness, healing and recovery, personal/family growth, and mind-body strategies that support both wellness and recovery. She utilizes a collaborative, strengths-based approach, intentionally creating and holding a safe space as she supports individuals and families on their healing journey with humor, attunement, and compassion. She specializes in providing therapeutic services to individuals and families impacted by transitional/life changes, trauma, anxiety and depression.

Cindy continues to expand her knowledge and training in evidence-based mind-body practices with a special interest in the areas of trauma recovery and post-traumatic growth. She is certified in EMDR and brainspotting in addition to training in mindfulness practices, somatic practices, and therapeutic yoga practices to complement traditional CBT, ACT, and DBT modalities. She enjoys working with a wide variety of life ages/stages and the related challenges that can arise.

Outside of work, you will find Cindy enjoying her family, friends, and canine companions, adventuring outdoors, reading, trying a new recipe with improvised ingredients, and/or digging in the dirt.

About Janelle

Janelle strongly believes in human resiliency and our capacity to heal and grow. As a
licensed psychotherapist, she is committed to assisting her clients on their journey towards
better mental health and emotional well-being. Her therapeutic approach is holistic, and client
centered to help people meet the unique challenges they face in today’s world.

 

Janelle utilizes several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye
Movement Desensitization and Regulation (EMDR). Janelle is currently completing a year-long
training focused on Embodied Psychotherapy which centers on the Principles of Polyvagal
Theory. Her intention is to use this training in helping individuals regulate their nervous systems
so they can heal from trauma and restore health and vitality to their daily lives.

 

Janelle also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her work as a college professor.
She has taught courses on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, disability, and
intersectionality. As a faculty director, she has led study abroad programs to Australia, South
Africa, and Japan. Given this experience, she now coaches individuals who plan to move, work
or study abroad.

 

In working with Janelle, you can expect a non-judgmental and supportive environment
that encourages you to share your concerns and to work towards your goals. Janelle has a
lightness and a sense of humor that encourages curiosity and self-compassion while helping
clients break down barriers to living authentic lives.

 

Janelle is currently taking clients experiencing a variety of challenges, including anxiety and
depression, transitioning to college and work, other life transitions, LGBTQ, caretaker stress,
movement disorder diagnoses, young adulthood and aging experiences.
